Ductless – The Future is NOW for the Comfort of Your Home!
Let’s say you’d like to have air conditioning but your home or new room lacks the necessary ductwork. Or maybe you have a room that’s a little too hot or too cold and you’d like to make it more comfortable. Perhaps you own a business that has supplemental heating or cooling needs. Regardless of your residential or commercial challenge, our ductless systems offer the elegant solution you’re looking for.
If your space has a wall or a ceiling, we have a system that’s right for you.
Going ductless doesn’t involve going through a major renovation. In fact, there’s very little mess at all. Nor does it mean sacrificing your room with a view to a bulky window unit. Instead, a ductless heat pump or air conditioner integrates neatly into your space. It’s mounted high up on the wall or in the ceiling, where it’s least obtrusive—and most effective at quietly and gently directing treated air to every corner of the room. In residential and commercial settings, there are options for wall- or ceiling-mounted systems—or even ducted or partially ducted systems.
Advantages of a Ductless Mini-Split
Because there are no ducts, the ductless mini-split systems lose less than 5% cooling vs. up to 40% loss on traditional forced-air systems! Increased efficiencies mean lower utility bills. Several models are even Energy Star Qualified, which will save you more on your utilility bill.
Why pay to heat or cool areas that no one is occupying? Individual zoning allows you to heat or cool the areas you want, and not the areas that are unoccupied.
Ductless air conditioners are comprised of an indoor and outdoor unit, which allows for a peaceful inside environment by enabling the contractor to install louder componets like compressors and motors outdoors.
Copper tubing running through a small 3 to 4 inch opening in the wall or ceiling easily connects the indoor and outdoor units. Refrigerant is cycled through the lines from the outdoor condensing unit to the indoor unit, where the air is quietly distributed to the interior space.
How Does a Mini-Split work?
Like conventional HVAC systems, the mini-split locates the compressor and condenser outside of the house. However, the mini-split system eliminates the need for a closet or attic located evaporator unit and bulky ductwork by using thin copper tubing that pumps refrigerant directly to discreet wall muonted blowers inside. Even more remarkable, this same unit works in reverse in winter, absorbing heat from the outside air and moving it indoors to heat your home! The result is efficient cooling and heating for year-round, whole-house comfort. There is a mini-split system for even the most difficult to heat and cool areas.
